Follow Friday: Tear-Jerkers

What was the last book that made you cry?
Yeah that's easy. The last book I read that made me cry was The Book Thief. I read it in December and got teary eyed during several different parts. But the ending killed me. Bawled like a baby. Snot. Ugly cry. You get the picture. One of the best books I've ever read by far, but definitely a tear jerker. Anyone seen the film? I haven't gotten the chance yet.

DeleteI'm one of the people who finds The Book Thief massively overrated. I felt so validated when I read so many well-written negative reviews and discovered I wasn't the only person who hated that book so badly. I really can't understand why it's gotten so much hype.
ReplyDeleteOh I loved it! Strangely, I didn't hear much hype. Just a couple of recommendations from good friends. Probably the hype made your expectations super high, which is hard to compete with. To each her own, though. Happy Friday! :D

Thanks so much for the follow. You know, I read it on my kindle, so I couldn't actually see how big it was, but it didn't seem long to me at all. It's a super easy reach you'll just breeze through and barely notice the pages going by. You should definitely dive in! :D

DeleteI don't think I've ever cried over a book. Some movies have caused allergy symptoms though.
