Follow Friday--Books and Halloween Movies!

Welcome to Follow Friday!

Gain new followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature & Follow! If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers -- but you have to know -- the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee's View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it'll allow us to show off more new blogs!

How does this work? First you leave your name here on this post, (using the linky tools -- keep scrolling!) then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them "hi" in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!

Q: What book do you think would make a great Halloween movie? Please explain in graphic detail of goriness...

Great question! Recently I've read Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake (see my review) and Masque of the Red Death by Bethany Griffith (see my review). Both would make pretty creepy Halloween movies. Anna is a ghost story with plenty of gore and creepy images. Someone even gets ripped clean in half. *wince* Masque would be great because it's about a plague that decimates the population. The imagery is very dark and the streets are piled with bodies, and infested with the sick who all sport pus-oozing sores. Gross, right?

How about you? What book do YOU think would be a great Halloween movie?

  1. I really enjoyed reading both of these books, especially Anna, which is one of our picks, too. I loved the dark atmosphere of Masque- Prince Prospero is the perfect character for a Halloween movie.

  23. I'd like to see someone attempt Preston and Child's The Relic again. The movie from a few years ago was awful and left out the main character in the book - Pendgergast!

    1. That's just dumb to leave out the main character. Don't you hate it when Hollywood slaughters (*wink, wink*) the best stories? Haven't seen the film, but I heard it's not great. I'll have to try out the book. Thanks for stopping by, Alex! :D

  44. I haven't read either of those books, purely because everyone is saying they are scary!! I'm not a fan of scary movies or books, but because when I was young my baby sitter (She was like 15) used to make my brother I watch horror movies with her... Seriously. She wouldn't let us not watch them.. Even if we didn't want to. So now I just can't watch horror movies or read scary books haha.

Although I am open to T.V shows! Like Supernatural... Or American Horror Story. And things.

    Talk about scarring...
