Follow Friday--Favorite Villains
Increase Blog Followers, gain Book Blog Followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature & Follow! If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers — but you have to know — the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.
Who is your favorite villain from a book?
As most who follow me know, I'm really into George R.R. Martin's A Song of Fire and Ice series. A character I really like in this series is named Sandor Clegane, or The Hound. He's technically a villain because he's ruthless and brutal, killing people in horrible ways and being an all-around douche bag, but he's a great example of a dynamic villain. He has strange, unexplained compassion for random characters we care about as readers (including Sansa) and we're told his history, which is tragic. Despite his evilness, he's intriguingly...sympathetic. I like him a lot.
How about you? Which book villain is your favorite?

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs!
How does this work? First you leave your name here on this post, (using the linky tools — keep scrolling!) then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them “hi” in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!

I've never read the Fire and Ice series. I know what you mean, though, about a character not being ALL evil.
ReplyDeleteHello,

Awesome choice!! I love Clegane, even though I like him to the point I'm not sure I can think of him as a villain anymore, haha!
