Follow Friday--Supernatural Creatures

How does this work? If you could choose one supernatural being/creature to exist, what would it be and why?

Hmm. I'm going to agree with Parajunkee on this one and point out that most supernatural beings/creatures tend to rip human beings to shreds. So, you'd either have to 1) have some kind of guarantee it's not going to devour/maim/eat/kill you or 2) go with something pretty benign.

Assuming the first condition has been met, I think I'd go with Shapeshifter because they can be a winged dragon one moment and Kit Harrington the next. Just sayin.'

  25. I never really considered shape-shifters because I always associate them with being evil murderer types. >.< I suppose I would have to put a stipulation on what lore they come from before I would be kosher with that. lol Great answer though!

    I would choose mermaids because I just finished Madly and in that book they are peaceful creatures who love humans. Plus, they are usually beautiful and can live on land and under the ocean. How great is that?

  36. If shapeshifters were real, I'd be pretty freaked out. What if one turned into me and caused all sorts of trouble?! That would be awful. Now, if I could have shapeshifting powers...well, that would be pretty neat!

  42. I have a hyperactive imagination, because I picture shapeshifters being scary, too. They'd be the perfect serial killers or spies. I read one book about a shapeshifter who had to kill the person who's form he took. Yuuuuuck.
