Follow Friday

Gain new followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature & Follow! If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers -- but you have to know -- the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee's View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it'll allow us to show off more new blogs!

How does this work? First you leave your name here on this post, (using the linky tools -- keep scrolling!) then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them "hi" in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!

Late April Fools. What was the best prank you've played or had played on you? Share!

So, one year when I was a teenager, my family had a total heyday on April fools. My sister and I went shopping. While there, we called my mom and her my sister (who was only seventeen at the time) had hit a car in the Shopko parking lot and caused all kinds of damage. My mom thought it was funny after we yelled "April Fools" into the phone.

She played the same trick on my dad, who was at work.

Then, while we went to a $1 movie at the local mall, my dad drove over and moved the second family car we'd brought. When we came it, we could only assume someone had stolen it. It was plausible because it was a hunk of junk and the doors didn't lock, but we just couldn't fathom why anyone would want a car that barely ran.

My mom was a terrible liar, though. We could tell it was a trick by the fact that she didn't seem in the least bit upset. She finally confessed. So, before heading home, my sister and I stopped at my dad's work and shaving-creamed his car.

Meanwhile, that evening my mom put dye in the food and salt in the sugar bowl to give everyone an interesting jot at dinnertime.

We've never done anything quite so elaborate since that year, but it was definitely a memorable one! :D

What was your best April Fool's Day prank?
