Cover Reveal: Damaged Hope!
Good morning, Lovely Readers! How
is everyone's week going?
Couple of orders of business
today. It's been an insane few weeks, but I am slowly and surely getting work
done. I have a sneaking hunch Fall might prove even busier. Let's hope not. 😉
1. I can now reveal the cover of
book 3 of Street Games!
Two weeks ago, my Story Squad members voted for the title, Damaged Hope. Well, the wonderful Kealan Patrick Burke (my
cover designer for this series; see www.kealanpatrickburke.com) has put together a
beautiful cover for me.
Here it is!
Isn't it lovely!?! I love how he incorporated the red lighting of the Mire.
Fun fact: I decided to incorporate
a lightning storm into the end of the book. I hadn't planned the weather element
originally, but I saw this and knew I had to do it. If anything, it will
just make the ending that much more dramatic. (Hooray for drama on the page! 😂)
2. It is looking like the release
of book 3 will be pushed back to September. (Didn't I tell you that would
happen?) The editing is taking longer than anticipated, so it probably won't be
out until the end of 9/17. I'll keep you updated of course, and let you know
when I have a firm date. It's getting close, though. Truly. Be patient with me. It's coming!

Cover Reveal: Bastions of Blood
Here, finally, is the cover art for book 2 of my historical romance: Kremlins. The second installment is entitled, Bastions of Blood.

Inga has finally found the courage to engage in a relationship with Taras, the only man she’s ever loved, but the winter winds blow cold in Russia, and happiness is short-lived.
On the heels of a triumphant victory, Tsar Ivan falls ill and nearly dies, followed by his beloved wife. Everyone knows that Anastasia’s influence on Ivan has been profound. Because she holds both the Tsar’s ear and heart, no one dares harm her. As her condition worsens, Inga sees glimpses of the sadistic creature Ivan was before he married, and knows things are about to become much worse.
As Inga fears the future, Taras looks to the past, searching for the elusive answers to his mother’s death. As mystery piles upon mystery, and everyone refuses to talk, Taras begins to wonder if he’ll ever truly understand the event that has plagued him since childhood.
As Ivan’s madness grows, he lashes out, and all of Russia feels the sting. Things darken in the Kremlin and the countryside fills with blood. Inga and Taras cling to one another to survive the new nightmare. If no one reins Ivan in, they may end up losing more than their lives.

Thoughts for Thursday: The Importance of Art + Johnny Worthen's The Finger Trap

Thoughts for Thursday is a meme where we share thoughts or quotes that we know or have recently come across. Each week there is a specific subject or theme. These can be quotes from books, quotes by famous people, (quotes by YOU, perhaps ;D). Anything from anywhere is game, though we do ask that you keep your quote to a few sentences at most.
